Founded in 1952
by former Greenlee assemblers, Ed Paulson and Bernie Peterson, Kadon
was purchased in 1973 by Jim and Jeff Franklin. Kadon
produced screw machine products primarily for the aerospace industry
until 1980, by which time we had increased the number of Greenlee
automatics to five machines.
During the early
eighties, because we were able to machine parts requiring a greater
expertise than the average machine shop, we began fullfilling the
needs of one of the power control companies in the area. Our
experience working with high-temperature nickel alloys made machining
steel and brass an easy transition.
Our business
has grown from our original three machine, three thousand square
foot building, into a company occupying eighteen thousand square
feet, employing more than twenty people operating over thirty machines.
Our newest machines comprise some of the latest 'state of
the art' equipment available.
